2025 Art Gallery and Auction

This year the Art Show/Gallery will be run as an entirely Silent Auction.

The Art Show will open on Friday afternoon. Silent written bids will start at opening on Friday and run until 11am on Sunday at which point the Bids will officially close and the winning Bids will be posted in the Art Show Room. There will be a Quick Sale Price listed, and Quick Sale begins when the Art Show opens on Saturday.

Rules:

  1. You cannot scratch off or erase a Bid on the Artists’ Bid Sheet once you have written it down.
  2. All Artwork must be picked up by the end of the Con on Sunday. (If you haven’t picked up the Artwork you have bid on, the Art Show Coordinator will obtain your contact information through your Con Membership number on the Bid Sheet. They will then give that information to the Artist who will be contact you for payment.)
  3. Payment will be accepted in cash, check (written to MarsCon), or Credit/Debit Card.

Art Gallery Policies for Artists
All work must be of a science fiction or fantasy nature. If you are unsure if your work fits into these categories, please contact the art show director beforehand. Space is limited. Not for sale items will only be accepted if space is available.

Gallery artists may designate a “quick sale” price on the Bid Sheet. This allows attendees to purchase art immediately, provided there are no bids on that piece. All items entered in the Art Gallery must be unique throughout the convention.

Space is available on a paid reservation basis. To ensure your place in the Art Gallery, you must contact the art room director by Sunday, November 2, 2024. Please don’t wait to reserve your space, we cannot guarantee that space will still be available.

If you are interested in submitting artwork for the Art Gallery & Auction for 2025, please fill out the MarsCon Art Gallery Application. If you have further questions, contact the Art Gallery Director. Note: all items entered into the Art Gallery must be unique throughout the convention. If you are interested in selling multiples of the same work, please email Dealers Room Coordinator for information on purchasing a dealer’s table.

MarsCon staff will monitor the room and collect quick sale money, while it is open. The room will be locked after hours, and the Art Gallery Director (or con chair) will hold the key.



2025 Rates

The Art Gallery will be located in the same room as 2024 (Salon K)

  • $30 per 18inch x 6ft table.
  • $40 per 4’x6′ panel.
  • $150 per cubby, which includes 4 panels and one 18inch by 6ft table.

Due to space limitations, no large or round tables will be available. Tables may be set against a wall, part of an existing counter or placed back-to-back with another table.

No commission is subtracted from sold artwork. These rates do not include con membership.

Contact the Art Gallery Director for a special link to reserve and pay for your panels or table and your membership. If you order your membership through the special link, you get it at a discount. Additional memberships can be purchased through the registration page on the website or at the door.
